Police have identified the innocent driver killed by a wrong-way car thief during a police pursuit on I-695 earlier this week. Dimeka Thornton, 37, of Windsor Mill, was operating an Acura TSX when she was struck by a driver in a stolen car in the outer loop, on the ramp to Exit 18 to Liberty Road around 12:15 a.m. Monday, April 8, the Maryland Attorney General's Office said in a release. A 54-year-old New Jersey man has been arrested after police in Delaware say he stole the vehicle of a Good Samaritan checking on him after a crash. Four Delaware men are accused in a crime spree that stretched into Pennsylvania and allegedly included car theft, kidnapping, gunpoint robbery, and rape. A 59-year-old Lakewood man has been charged with killing his live-in girlfriend before fleeing to Maryland, authorities said. John Filistovich was charged on Thursday, June 1 with murder in connection with the beating and suffocation of Betty Perry, 60, of Lakewood, they said. Investigation revealed that four suspects broke into the car dealership in the 2200 block of Distribution Cir. around 2 a.m., Monday, Nov. 28, according to Montgomery County police. Carjacker Who Attacked Driver After Ride Rejection Arrested In White Marsh: Police
The man who attacked a driver who declined giving him a lift and then stole his car in White Marsh has been arrested. Charles Hoffman, 35, approached the driver asking for a ride around 3:45 p.m. Sunday June 12 on the 5300 block of Nottingridge Road, Baltimore County police said.
