Health officials in Harford County are cautioning the community that a case of active tuberculosis was reported in Joppatowne High School. An alert was issued by the Harford County Health Department and Maryland Department of Health on Monday, April 24, advising that the agencies are working together with the local school district to investigate the reported case. Members of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office had to be called to an area elementary school after a young student was caught with a weapon while riding the bus, according to officials. Police say that a woman’s body was found behind Lansdowne Middle School in Baltimore County on Tuesday morning as children were arriving to class. A veteran sheriff’s deputy and Military Police Officer in Maryland with deep ties to his community has taken his own life following a battle with PTSD, the Caroline County Sheriff's Office announced.
