Maryland is mourning the loss of longtime Prince George's County Sheriff Melvin High, who died at the age of 78. A man from Prince George's County was arrested and charged for attempted first-degree rape, authorities said. Ronald Chester Pearson sexually assaulted a woman in the 2700 block of Kenton Place in Temple Hills on May 2, the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office said.
