Homicide Investigation Launched After Woman Found Dead In Bladensburg Apartment: Police Police have initiated a homicide investigation after a woman was found dead at an apartment in Prince George’s County Wednesday night, April 3. Officers with the Bladensburg Police Department were called to conduct a welfare check at an apartment building on the 4100 block of 53rd Place around 11:15 p.m. and found a woman with traumatic injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The investigation is being led by the Prince George’s County Police Homicide Unit. Daily Voice has reached out to the PGPD for additional details.

Son Accused Of Murdering 81-Year-Old Mother During Dispute In District Heights Home: Police A Maryland man has been accused of killing his 81-year-old mother during an argument over the weekend. Mark Terry, 45, of District Heights, was charged with first- and second-degree murder and other offenses, the Prince George’s County Police Homicide Unit said in a release on Tuesday, Jan. 16. Officers responded to the mother and son’s shared home on the 2000 block of Brooks Drive around 8 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14 and found 81-year-old Madia Terry unresponsive in the living room with bruising and other signs of trauma, investigators said.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.
