Police ID Homeowner Shot, Killed In Double Fatal Overnight Burglary Police are investigating a double fatal shooting inside of a Hyattsville home after a burglary, authorities say. Shortly before 12:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, police were dispatched to the home on the 5600 block of 30th Avenue after reports of a burglary. When officers arrived on the scene they saw a car attempting to leave the residence and immediately stopped the vehicle, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.
