An alert was issued by a Prince George's County Fire and EMS spokesperson advising that at approximately 1:35 p.m. on May 15, a person was struck by a train.
They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is now being investigated by Metro Transit Police.
No additional details have been provided.
Travelers were warned that there will be delays in the area with shuttle buses providing rides to passengers.
