Scooter Causes $650K Fire That Displaced Two Derwood Families (Video) At least a dozen people including several children have been displaced after an accidental fire caused over half a million dollars in damages to a Derwood home. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue were called to a townhouse on Hiawatha Lane around 8 a.m., Thursday, April 13.
