An investigation has been launched after an inmate was found dead in the Jessup Correctional Institution in Maryland.
Maryland State Police issued an alert on Sunday, May, 28, advising that Nicholas Joseph Delfosse, 27, a state prison inmate serving time for a burglary, was found dead inside the facility.
Police say that an inmate has been identified as a suspect. He’s being held in a separate part of the prison and possible charges are pending.

An inmate at a Pennsylvania Prison was found dead in his cell last week, according to a release by county officials.
Paul William Reardon, 35, of Ephrata, was found unresponsive in his cell during a routine check on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 11:46 a.m., according to the release.
Prison staff conducted CPR, utilized an AED and called 911, as stated in the release.
Lancaster City fire and EMS personnel arrived and conducted lifesaving, before he was taken to Lancaster General Hospital, the release states.
