Shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, patrol officers from the Baltimore Police Department’s Northwest District were called to the 2900 block of Oakley Avenue, where there was a reported shooting. Off-Duty Officer Saves Baltimore Shooting Victim A Baltimore shooting victim has an off duty Baltimore police sergeant to thank for his life. The sergeant was driving in his personal vehicle when he noticed a 31-year-old man slumped over on the 2700 block of West Belvedere Avenue around 1:43 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
