Police have made an arrest in the murder of a Maryland convenience store owner earlier this month.
Anthony Edward Stevens, 48, of Capitol Heights, was charged with first- and second-degree murder, Prince George’s Police announced Friday, March 22.
Detectives believe Stevens attacked Mohammad Hanif, 50, of Annandale, VA, while stealing items from his store on the 900 block of Larchmont Avenue in Capitol Heights on Tuesday, March 5.

Three people have been arrested and charged in the murder of a Maryland man whose body was found in the woods last month.
Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes detectives arrested Quinnton Eric Brown, 36, DeAngelo McRoy, 26, and Alicia Carson-Brown, 24, all of Gaithersburg, charging them with first-degree murder.
The arrests were made about six weeks after Delondre Levert Sawyer, 35, of Germantown, was found unresponsive in a wooded area near the 11200 block of Game Preserve Road in Gaithersburg and later pronounced dead.

Charred Dogs Found In Burn Pile Outside Maryland Property, Sheriff Says
Two teens are facing charges after investigators in Maryland made a grisly pile of charred dogs that were allegedly abused, officials say.
Paul Thomas Baylor III, 19, and Justin Uzonna Anabaraonye, 18, were both arrested following a probe by the Allegany County Sheriff's Office into dogs that were found "in what appeared to be a burn pile," authorities announced.
