Flood Watches Issued As New Round Of Storms Set To Hit DMV Region
The DMV Region may be in for another round of rough weather on Tuesday afternoon. Forecasters say that there is a "Level 2" risk of severe weather on Tuesday, Aug. 15, which could bring isolated tornadoes, large hail, and potentially damaging winds, and flooding throughout the area. Officials in Maryland announced that the “227" area code could soon join the traditional “240” and “301" numbers, which are expected to run out sometime in the coming year.
