A beloved business has been gutted in downtown Frederick after a three-alarm fire tore through the building and destroyed most of the contents inside. Frederick County Sheriff's deputies had to go to elaborate lengths to apprehend a combative man who assaulted police and his own father in front of his pregnant wife, according to a spokesperson for the agency. Eliseo Escano, 27, of Frederick is facing multiple assault charges after he refused to go down quietly as deputies investigated reports of a man who smoked marijuana, was drinking, and was having a panic attack. Driver Hospitalized After Being Extricated From Vehicle In Maryland
A driver had to be extricated from a vehicle after losing control, overturning, and crashing into a utility pole in Maryland, officials said. First responders responded to the 5100 block of Old National Park in Braddock shortly before 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, where there were reports of a one-car crash, according to a spokesperson with the Frederick County Fire and Rescue.
