One person was killed and a second suffered critical injuries after striking a falling tree in Calvert County, according to the sheriff's office. Police have identified the 54-year-old woman who died more than a month after she was involved in a violent crash in Montgomery County in mid-June. Olney resident Delois Freeman died this week after she as involved in a crash while driving with a friend on Sunday, June 18, authorities announced on Wednesday. One person was killed in a crash in Prince George’s County, and several others injured, Maryland State Police say. At approximately 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, an alert was issued by the Maryland Department of Transportation regarding a crash on MD 202 that led to all lanes being closed in both directions between Chelsea Lane and Marlboro Pike in Upper Marlboro. “Driver error” has been determined as the cause of a crash that left a man operating a personal mobility scooter with what are being described as serious injuries in Calvert County. Officials say that at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 74-year-old Christopher Carryington, of North Beach, was operating his mobility scooter in the crosswalk when he was struck by Owings resident Kathy Ann Jones, 67, in Chesapeake Beach. Two Dead After Vehicle Flips Several Times In Violent Maryland Crash
Two young adults are dead after a violent crash in Baltimore, authorities say. A 23-year-old woman and 22-year-old man were pronounced dead at the scene after the vehicle they were traveling in flipped over several times near the 1900 block of W. Northern Parkway on Sunday, Nov. 27, according to Baltimore police. Investigation revealed that the 2008 Nissan was traveling westbound at that location when the driver lost control, crashed into the median strip, and flipped over several times. The Crash Team is still investigating this incident.
