Maryland Karate Instructor Charged With Sexual Abuse Of Minors After Preying On Young Girls

A Maryland karate instructor accused of using his position of authority to gain the trust of young girls has been arrested for the sexual abuse of minors, authorities say.

Stephen Kenion, 56, is an ex-contractual karate teacher with Baltimore City Public Schools, and is accused of having multiple intimate relationships with minors dating back to 2009, according to Baltimore police.

Kenion is being held in Central Booking and is waiting to see a court commissioner.

He has been charged with Perverted Practices, Second Degree Rape, numerous counts of Second Degree Assault, and various sex offenses.

Detectives believe that Stephen Kenion has preyed on more young girls, and are hoping they will come forward.
