"Period Poverty" continues to be an issue for millions of women across the globe, with at least 500 million women lacking access to products to manage their periods, according to ActionAid. The AB's Care Society is working together with their community to help provide care products unhoused women in Baltimore through a fundraiser created with GoFundMe.

The AB's Care Society is raising money to distribute not only tampons and pads, but toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoos, conditioners, and other health essentials to underprivileged women and girls around the Baltimore community.

Period Action Day falls on October 8, with a goal to help tackle period poverty around the globe.
