At around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday morning, the Baltimore City Sheriff's Office issued an alert advising that the Circuit Court building on North Calvert Street has been partially shut down and the fire department's HazMat Unit was called to the scene.

In response to the investigation, officials said that there was a temporary street closure on the odd side of the 100 block of North Calvert Street, and the public has been advised to avoid the area.

Last month, the same building was evacuated and temporarily shut down after an inmate sent a similar package to the building, though that was ultimately unfounded and the substance was non-toxic.
