Four Decades Later, Police In Maryland Identify, Arrest Alleged Serial Rapist A man accused of raping women in Prince George's County over forty years ago has been arrested, authorities say. Marion Edward Pearson Jr., 65, was linked to the crime through the FBI's National DNA Index System on Monday, Oct. 31 after Cold Case detectives submitted evidence from the open rape case to the system in March of 2022, according to Montgomery County Police. Rewards Of Up To $10,000 For Info Regarding Armed Carjacking At Gas Station Authorities are offering rewards of up to $10,000 for information that could lead them to identify and arrest a suspect involved in an armed carjacking that occurred last week. Officers were called to the Citgo gas station on Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 2, Montgomery County Police said. The victim of the carjacking told police his car was stolen while he left the car unlocked and running to go inside and buy some food.
