DC Police Arrest 62-Year-Old Woman In Anacostia-Area Shooting Police have arrested a suspect in a shooting that occurred near the Anacostia Community Boathouse, officials said. On July 22 at around 11 p.m., 62-year-old Alice Jackson of Marlow Heights shot and wounded a victim during an argument in the 1900 block M Street, the Metropolitan Police Department reported.  Officials said the victim sought treatment at a local hospital, but no further details were released about the victim's condition. Jackson was taken into custody and arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, police said.

DC Man Uses Crossbow To Rob Trader Joe's Store A Washington DC man has been arrested after he brandished a crossbow while trying to steal from Trader Joe's, according to police. The incident happened at the Trader Joe's on 14th Street Northwest on Dec. 26 at around 12:55 p.m. The Metropolitan Police Department says 26-year-old Isis Jones hid merchandise to steal it, and when he was confronted by an employee, he took out a crossbow and pointed it in their direction. He and another suspect then fled the scene. Jones was arrested on Dec. 27, and charged with assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Crossbow) and Theft Two.
