$40K Mega Millions Winner Purchased At Lakewood Convenience Store
An Ocean County convenience store sold a Mega Millions ticket worth $40,000, officials said. The ticket was purchased at Lucky 2 Convenience Store on Route 70 in Lakewood, the New Jersey Lottery said in a news release. The winner matched four numbers and the Mega Ball in the drawing on Friday, June 21. The winning numbers were 3, 18, 27, 40, and 44. The Mega Ball was 19 and the Megaplier was four. A Philadelphia teen was arrested and several other people were wanted in a fight near the Atlantic City Boardwalk, authorities said. Joseph Miller, 19, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and possession of a large-capacity magazine, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release. Man Dies By Suicide After Shooting Woman In Pleasantville, Authorities Say
A Pleasantville man shot a woman before he died by suicide, authorities said. Pleasantville police responded to a domestic violence report at a home on South Third Street at around 4:05 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Person Suffers Severe Leg Injury Cutting Tree Branches In Pleasantville
A person in Atlantic County was seriously injured while in a tree cutting branches, officials said. Pleasantville firefighters responded to a yard on North Woodland Avenue at around 12:16 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, the fire department said in a Facebook post. A United States Postal Service worker was injured when his van caught fire in Atlantic County, officials said. Margate firefighters and police responded to the fire on Clarendon Avenue near Amherst Avenue at around 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, the fire department said in a Facebook post.
