2 $100K Lottery Tickets Sold In Mass
It was a very happy weekend for two Bay Staters after they won $100,000 in the Massachusetts State Lottery. The winners correctly guessed all five numbers in the daily "Mass Cash" drawing and collected their prizes on Friday, June 28. They were the biggest jackpots claimed over the weekend. The winners' names were not released. The votes are in, and these are the best hamburgers in Massachusetts, according to burgerphiles. Over 5,000 voters took part in a survey conducted by Taste of Massachusetts asking where to find the best beef patties in the Bay State. More than 1,000 people tossed their favorite restaurants into the running and, after four rounds of “some very close voting,” the website had its ranking of the 16 best burgers in Massachusetts. She Touched Many Lives: Mass Native Dies In New Jersey Car Crash
Stephanie Weymouth, a Wilmington native, is being remembered for her passion for teaching and performing after being killed in a car crash earlier this month in Jersey City. The 31-year-old Bayonne resident was killed Saturday, Feb. 3, in a car crash after the vehicle she was riding in struck the back of a tractor trailer, authorities said. Winners!: Two Massive Lottery Jackpots Hit On Same Day, 3 Miles Apart In Burlington, Wilmington
Two new Massachusetts Lottery winners are practically neighbors after the tickets were sold on the same day less than three miles apart. A $650,000 $100X scratch-off ticket was sold at the Town Pantry in Burlington at 85 Wilmington Road on Tuesday, Dec. 12, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery. On the same day, a $100,000 Mass Cash lottery ticket was sold in Wilmington at the Sunrise Market at 327 Main St. The stores are just one turn and 2.7 miles away from one another. A man who went missing from an overnight crash in Wilmington is said to be returning to his family several hours later, authorities said. Police responded to a crash involving a 2013 Acura TSX and a tractor-trailer near Exit 35 on I-93 north around 12:42 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, Massachusetts State Police said. Wakefield Firefighter Hospitalized From Battling Afternoon 4-Alarm House Fire
One firefighter was hospitalized after firefighters from several departments joined forces to put out a four-alarm fire at a Wakefield home, authorities said. Wakefield fire was first to the fire that broke out at 26 Eastern Avenue around 11:35 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, the department said. Upon arrival, crews found flames shooting from a house. Two men were arrested for driving under the influence and crashing their pickup truck into a home in Wilmington, authorities said.
