Person Shot In Groin: Bridgeton PD A person was shot in the groin in Bridgeton early Saturday morning, Aug. 8, authorities said. At 5:44 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Maple Drive and found a person with a gunshot wound to the groin, Bridgeton police said. The shooting occurred after the person was an argument with people, when one individual reached into his firearm, removed a firearm and then fired a gun, police said. The group fled the area on foot, police said. The victim was uncooperative and transported to a nearby hospital, police said. The shooting remains under investigation, police said.
