Community Rallies To Help People Who Lost Cars In Springfield Fire
Springfield firefighters were able to beat back a brush fire on Wednesday, April 12, before anyone was hurt, but two cars weren't so lucky. Now, the community is rallying to help raise money to replace those destroyed rides. The fire started around 250 Albany St. near Gasoline Alley. Fire crews were able to douse the blaze, but photos from the aftermath show how hot the flames got. Only the metal was left on one of the vehicles. Out-Of-State Trio Accused Of Stealing 12K Worth In Catalytic Converters In Mass
Three men from Rhode Island were arrested after causing $12,000 in damage by stealing catalytic converters on the South Shore, authorities said. Braintree Police responded to an alarm call from a business on Wood Road in Braintree around 11 p.m. on Halloween, Oct. 31, Braintree Police report. Officers were unable to find anyone after searching the area but 30 minutes later, police got another call saying that several people were seen on camera in the yard. Woman Accused Of Striking, Dragging CT Trooper With Car While Fleeing Police
A 26-year-old woman was charged after police said she struck a Connecticut State Police trooper and a patrol vehicle with her car while fleeing from police. Troopers in Tolland County responded to a report of a disturbance at a home on Cindy Road in Ellington at about 4:20 a.m. on Sunday, July 17, according to Connecticut State Police. Police said Veronica Allen, of New Britain, had allegedly smashed windows of several vehicles in the driveway using a tire iron. Drive-By Shooting On Massachusetts Street Under Investigation, Police Say
Police in Western Massachusetts are searching for the person or people who fired shots on a city street, hitting a vehicle and an apartment building. The shooting took place around 8:15 p.m., Wednesday, June 23 on Francis Avenue in Pittsfield, Lieutenant Michael Maddalena said. Arriving police units located ballistic evidence in the roadway and a parked vehicle had also been struck.
