A woman and man are facing charges after a burglary and fight with officers in Connecticut.
At around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24, troopers from Troop C in Tolland responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked behind a residence on Middle Turnpike, in Mansfield.
The reporting party advised Troop C that the residence was known to be unoccupied for an extended period of time, state police said.

Man Celebrating His Birthday Killed In Wrong-Way Double-Fatal CT Crash
Two men were killed, one on his birthday, during a wrong-way crash in Connecticut.
It happened around 8:45 p.m., Saturday, April 9, on Route 6 Windham County in the town of Hampton, said the Connecticut State Police.
Tolland County resident Jeffrey Wayne Goulart, age 28, of the town of Hebron, was killed after driving his Subaru the wrong way on Route 6, slamming into a Ford Escape driven by a 16-year-old head-on, and then hit a Hyundai Elantra on the passenger side before it traveled off the roadway, state police said.

Joint Investigation Leads To Arrest Of 'High-Impact' Trafficker Of Drugs, Firearms From CT
Police have arrested a 24-year-old man who investigators believe is a high-impact trafficker of drugs and firearms.
Luis Ortiz, from Worcester, Massachusetts and Putnam, Connecticut, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 17, at a home in Worcester following an investigation.
Police said Ortiz was charged with gun and narcotics offenses, including the illegal sale of firearms, ammunition, and fentanyl.
The investigation into Ortiz's activities began in January after troopers received information that he was illegally in possession of firearms, authorities said.
