$1M Lottery Ticket Sold In Central Mass It was a lucky day for one person in Millbury this week after they struck gold at a Worcester County convenience store.  The winner played the $5 "Gold Mine 50X" scratch-off card and won the top prize of $1 million.  They bought the ticket at Riverside Mart at 54 Canal St. in Millbury. Central Mass Man Nearly Killed In Worcester Motorcycle Wreck A 24-year-old Worcester County man was nearly killed last week after he crashed his motorcycle in Worcetser, authorities said.  The 24-year-old Millbury man wrecked on Blithewood Avenue near Oakwood Lane just after 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, Worcester police. Investigators believe he lost control of the bike, hit the curb, and then careened into two poles.  A nurse happened to be nearby and gave him life-saving help until paramedics arrived. They rushed him to an area hospital, where he is being treated for serious life-threatening injuries.
