Two men with lengthy criminal histories were convicted this week of stabbing a man in 2020 during a fight in Springfield, officials said.
Carlos Cuba, 33, of West Springfield, and Khair Abdul-Raheem, 34, of East Longmeadow, were found guilty of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on Monday, Aug. 14, the Hampden County District Attorney announced Thursday. Abdul-Raheem was also found guilty of breaking and entering a vehicle in the daytime.

Second Man Charged With Fatal Shooting In Western Mass
A 29-year-old man from Hampden County was the second person arrested and accused this week of the shooting death of a Chicopee man two months ago, authorities said.
Ryan Navarro, of Holyoke, was arrested Tuesday, July 18, and charged with murder in the May 13 killing of 27-year-old Jasell Camacho, the Hampden County District Attorney said. James Carmenatty, 34, of Holyoke, was arrested days after Camacho was found shot to death in Holyoke, officials said.
Both men are being held without bail.

Double Murder: Teen Charged With Killing Man Inside Western Mass Apartment
A week after two men were found shot to death inside a Hampden County apartment, police arrested a teenager they say pulled the trigger.
Adrian Perez, 19, of Springfield, was arrested on Wednesday, June 14, and charged with murder, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, carrying a gun without a license, and carrying a loaded firearm without a license, Springfield police said.
He was being held without bond, the Hampden County District Attorney said.

A Waterbury, Connecticut, man awaiting a federal trial on kidnapping and murder charges admitted to killing three people in Springfield beginning in 2006, authorities said.
Calvin Robertson, 41, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, April 18, to three counts of manslaughter, the Hampden County District Attorney announced.
