Aaron Pennington is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 30-year-old Breanne Pennington in their home on Cherry Street in Gardner on Sunday, Oct. 22, Massachusetts State Police said. Officers knew something was amiss when the couple's four young children walked to a neighbor's home because they couldn't find their dad, and they could hear their mom crying in her room, authorities said.

Investigators found Breanne dead at home inside the house, but Aaron Pennington and his BMW were missing.

Police tracked his car to a wooded area at Camp Collier in Gardner near the Ashburnham border, but officers from multiple jurisdictions helping in the search could not find him. They resumed the search on Tuesday morning.

Reports said the couple had been arguing a lot of late, and Breanne was considering taking the children to Texas.

Police describe him as having blonde hair and blue eyes, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing approximately 175 pounds.

He should be considered armed and dangerous, police said. Officers said no one would approach him but call 911 immediately.

Police ask that anyone with information on Pennington's whereabouts contact State Police at 508-829-8236 or the Gardner Police Department at 978-632-5600.
