In its earnings report Thursday, July 23, owners outlined where the money went:
- $5.8 million in keg return revenue;
- $8.3 million in COVID-19 related direct costs;
- $5.6 million materials cost
- $2.7 million operating expenses.
Owners said that despite pandemic-related losses, Boston Beer is on track to have a good rest of 2020.
Outside of the virus’s most impactful months, many comparisons, the beer brewery is surpassing sales compared to the same time periods last year.
