Victims ID'd After Double-Fatal Wrong-Way Driver Crash In LaGrange Two men were killed during a wrong-way driver crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, in LaGrange. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, an initial investigation determined Joseph W. LaFave, age 35, of LaGrange, driving a 2017 BMW X1, traveled north in the southbound lane on the Taconic State Parkway in the area of Todd Hill Road. New Poughkeepsie Police Chief Grew Up In City He Now Leads A new chief of police in the region is no stranger to the area; he grew up there and has been part of the department for some 30 years. Dutchess County resident Rich Wilson has been named the Chief of Police for the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department by Mayor Yvonne Flowers on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Wilson has served as Interim Police Chief since the former chief, Tom Pape, retired in May. Wilson joined the department in 1994 as a police dispatcher and worked his way through the ranks. Ravena 39-Year-Old Man Accused Of Possessing Child Porn A Capital District man was busted for allegedly possessing child pornography after State Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Albany resident Christopher Noto, 39, of Ravena, was charged on Friday, Oct. 11, with assistance from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, and the US Department of Homeland Security. Glenville Woman Involved In Wrong-Way Crash Nabbed For Driving Drunk, Police Say A Capital Region woman was nabbed for alleged drunk driving and vehicular assault after crashing into another vehicle while driving the wrong way on a busy highway. East Fishkill Dealer Nabbed Peddling Cocaine Mixed With Fentanyl, Police Say An alleged drug dealer in the region was busted after he was caught selling cocaine mixed with fentanyl in connection with a fatal car crash. Dutchess County resident Joseph M. Kundrat, age 32, of East Fishkill, was charged on Monday, Sept. 30, following an investigation by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force. Monticello Dunkin' Burglary Suspect Nabbed After Crawling In Drive-Thru Window A burglary suspect from the region was nabbed after he was caught on surveillance video crawling through a Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru window. Sullivan County resident Paul A. Ellis, age 38, of Monticello, was charged with burglary and petit larceny on Monday, Oct. 14. According to Monticello Police Lt. Mark Johnstone, an investigation into a Dunkin' burglary at 144 Jefferson St. in Monticello on Thursday, Oct. 10, found that Ellis forced his way through the drive-thru window when the business was closed. Clifton Park Man Beats Victim Unconscious, Police Say A Capital Region man was nabbed for allegedly beating another person unconscious that he did not know. The incident occurred in Saratoga County around 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, in Clifton Park.
