Connecticut 17-Year-Old Killed In Western Mass. Crash A Connecticut teenager was killed in a Western Massachusetts crash on Sunday, July 28, authorities said.  The 17-year-old girl, from Enfield in Hartford County who was not identified, died just after the 2 p.m. wreck on North Blandford Road in the town of Blandford, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said.  Blandford is about 45 minutes west of Springfield.  Authorities have not released details about what led to the crash or how many vehicles were involved. Highway Authorities have identified the 57-year-old Massachusetts Department of Transportation worker who was hit and killed Saturday night, July 27, while picking up debris along Route 24 in West Bridgewater.  David "Spanky" Sousa, of Stoughton, was struck around 9:30 p.m. while working on the side of the northbound lane near Ext 28B, The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said.  Sousa is a husband and father who has served as a former Stoughton Select Board chairman.  The driver who struck him remained at the scene, the prosecutor's office said. 'He Brought Tremendous Joy': Western Mass 15-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In I-91 Crash The family of the 15-year-old Berkshire County boy who was killed last week in a crash on I-91 in Springfield was a loving and giving young man who had a bright future ahead of him.  Jayden Andre, of Lee, was killed around 4:30 p.m. on July 2 near exit 5 on the interstate. Teen ID'd As Victim In Fatal Springfield Crash On I-91 Authorities in Hampden County have identified the victim of a fatal crash last week on I-91 as a 15-year-old boy.  State police were called to the crash site around 4:30 p.m. near northbound Exit 5 on July 2, authorities said.  Police and paramedics provided medical aid at the scene of the crash, state police said. It's unclear if the teenager died at the scene or a nearby hospital.  The boy's name will not be released because of his age.
