Montville Man Takes Plea, Faces 18 Months In Prison For Deadly ATV Crash A Connecticut man has accepted an 18-month prison term in an ATV crash that killed his passenger. Cecil E. Grimes, 33, of Montville, pleaded guilty to misconduct with a motor vehicle on Aug. 3, court records show. The plea avoided a trial scheduled for this month. Grimes is set to be sentenced Oct. 13. His five-year sentence will be suspended after he serves 18 months. Motorcyclist ID’d In Deadly 3-Vehicle I-95 Crash In Westwood; Passenger Seriously Hurt A 71-year-old motorcyclist has died after a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 South in Westwood. Harris Shippee, of Warwick, Rhode Island, was driving a three-wheeled motorcycle when it collided with a Jeep Wrangler around 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, near the East Street exit, Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey announced. Emergency crews took Shippee to a Boston hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A 70-year-old woman riding as Shippee’s passenger suffered serious injuries. Missing Bridgeport Man ID'd After Body Found In Beardsley Park Pond A Connecticut man who'd been missing for weeks was found dead in a pond earlier this week.  Stephen Hall, 38, was found in a remote section of Bunnell’s Pond at Beardsley Park in Bridgeport, around 3:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23. Two fishermen spotted him.  Bridgeport’s major crimes unit worked with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington to identify Hall.
