Fisherman Saved From Icy Waters in Harrowing Western Mass Lake Rescue A dramatic rescue unfolded on a Western Massachusetts lake after a fisherman fell into the freezing waters when the ice he was on gave way, authorities said.  Firefighters were called to Onota Lake after the man fell through patchy ice about 100 yards from Burbank Park in Pittsfield on Tuesday morning, Jan. 21.
