Soaring Costs Changing Summer Travel: Here's Percentage Of Those In MA Still Planning Vacations
Summer may still bring a getaway, but for many Americans, it will look different this year.
A survey released Monday, May 11, found that 37 percent of Americans do not plan to travel this summer, according to Talker Research.
The survey of 5,000 Americans was commissioned by Current, and conducted by Talker Research. It was split evenly by state and generation.
Cost is the biggest reason many people are staying home. Among those not traveling, 52 percent said they cannot afford a trip, 25 percent said they are saving money, and 22 percent said they are paying off debt.
