Cape Cod Tragedy: Community Rallies After 2 Mass Fishermen Killed In Boat Sinking
The Massachusetts fishing community is mourning the loss of two fishermen killed when their boat sank off Cape Cod last week.
Angel Luis Nieves, 37, and Truitt Holcomb Jr., 61, both of New Bedford, were aboard the scallop boat Yankee Rose about two miles off Provincetown on Thursday, March 5, when it capsized and sank, state authorities said. There were no survivors.
Nieves was an engaged father of four, according to a GoFundMe created to support his family.

A 21-year-old college football player from Long Island died after being found unconscious inside a snow-covered vehicle in Rhode Island, police said.
Newport police and fire Departments responded at about 7:20 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23, to a Bellevue Avenue parking lot to check on a person inside a vehicle, according to the Newport Police Department. When they arrived, officers found Joseph Boutros, 21, of Bohemia, NY, unconscious inside a vehicle where he had been charging his cell phone, NPD said.
The vehicle was covered in snow and not running, police said.
