Greenfield's Tony Carr, 49, received a three-year state prison sentence, and  Amber Judd, 40, was given three years of probation on Thursday, Sept. 24. Gregory McHugh, 42, of Guilford, fired eight rounds into one home on Dec. 21, 2022, and four rounds into another on Oct. 24, 2023, prosecutors said.  Both homes were in Guilford. Granby Man Charged After Shooting Bear That Killed His Chickens A Connecticut homeowner has been charged after he said he shot and killed a black bear that broke into an enclosure and killed some of his chickens, state environmental police said.  Michael Gero, 39, called the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection on Friday night, Sept. 25, to report the shooting. Investigators said he saw the bear eating a chicken in his yard before he fired.
