Claire's Closing Six MA Stores, 290+ Nationwide After Bankruptcy Filing: See Which Ones Claire's has revealed nearly 300 of its stores that will be closing as the popular mall brand navigates bankruptcy. The well-known children's jewelry and ear-piercing retailer released a list of the 291 locations that are shuttering in a bankruptcy court filing on Monday, Aug. 25. That includes 71 Claire's and Icing stores across the Northeast. The closures add to the financial pressure facing the mall chain, which filed for bankruptcy earlier in August. Central Mass Man Busted With Kidnapping Teen From North Carolina: Police Police arrested a Worcester County man over the weekend and accused him of abducting a North Carolina teenager, authorities said.  Michael Oliver, of Clinton, was arrested on Saturday, June 29, and charged with trafficking of a child victim, abduction of a child, and soliciting a child with an electronic device, the Norwood (NC) police department said.  Oliver is believed to have been in contact with the 16-year-old for a year before the abduction, reports from North Carolina said.  Oliver and the girl were found in Berlin.
