Tornado Confirmed In Massachusetts As Severe Storms Batter Northeast A fast-moving round of severe storms swept through the Northeast, spawning a rare tornado in New England and leaving a trail of downed trees, power outages, and canceled events in its wake. The National Weather Service confirmed that the twister touched down in Holden, Massachusetts, located northwest of Worcester, late Saturday afternoon, Sept. 6, as part of an intense line of storms that moved across about a dozen states. Mass Boy's Dream Treehouse Marks 'Perfect' 10,000th Wish For Make-a-wish The Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island celebrated a historic milestone last week when they granted their 10,000th wish to a little boy in Central Massachusetts battling cancer.
