Minor Charged With Stabbing Man Multiple Times In Worcester Attack A juvenile was charged with stabbing a 30-year-old man multiple times in an attack on Wednesday, May 29, in Worcester, authorities said.  The attack happened around 1 p.m. on Sunderland Road. Worcester Police said the man suffered serious wounds in the stabbing. Paramedics took him to an area hospital where he remained on Thursday.  Police arrested the minor in the Green Street area after a brief foot chase. Man Stabbed On Worcester Sidewalk, Police Searching For Suspect A man was hospitalized on Thursday, May 2, after being stabbed on a sidewalk in Worcester, police said.  A Worcester officer was flagged down just after 3:30 p.m. in the area of lower Chandler Street to a report of assault with a dangerous weapon. The victim was found sprawled out on the sidewalk and bleeding from his wound.  The officer provided medical aid until paramedics arrived and rushed the man to an area hospital. His condition was not released.  Investigators ask anyone with information on the attack to contact detectives at 508-799-8651.

$100K Lottery Ticket Sold In Central Mass Thursday, May 2, was a very lucky day for someone in Worcester when they claimed a $100,000 ticket in the Massachusetts State Lottery.  The winner made the money playing the "Mass Cash" game. They bought the ticket at The Store at 88 Providence Street. The winner's name was not released. The store will collect a $1,000 bonus for the sale. They correctly guessed all five numbers in the daily drawing. Those were 9, 20, 24, 27, and 34.  They were among the 534 people who won $650 or more in the state lottery. 'The Grief Is Indescribable': Family Of Slain Central Mass 14-Year-Old Asks For Help The family of a 14-year-old boy who was shot and killed late last week is asking for help to pay for his funeral.  Sterling Baptiste Jr. was shot and killed on Friday, April 26, in the Belmont neighborhood of Worcester. Police were called around 4:15 p.m. and found the boy bleeding from a gunshot wound inside an apartment. Despite their attempts to save his life, paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.  A 16-year-old was arrested in connection with the shooting the following day. It was purchased at Shaw's at 14 W Boylston St. in Worcester.   The winner's name was not released, but the store will receive a bonus for the sale.  They were one of 658 people who won $650 or more in the state lottery.
