Police in Worcester County say two children and a driver are alive today thanks to five good samaritans who risked their own safety to pull them from a burning car on Monday, July 10. Charlton police were called to a car crash just after 6:30 p.m. near 338 Worcester Road. State police released the name of a 38-year-old Worcester County man killed on Thursday, July 6, in a Gardner crash when he was pinned underneath a car, authorities said. Bradley Arsenault, of Baldwinville, was hit just after 8 p.m. by a Honda Pilot at 591 West Broadway near Pete’s Tire Barn in Gardner, the Worcester County District Attorney's Office announced Monday. A 57-year-old Worcester County woman was killed after a car drifted into her lane and collided with her car on Friday afternoon, June 30, authorities said. Tracy Matthews, of Athol, was driving her Chevy Cobalt east in Franklin County on Route 2 in the town of Gill near Barton Cove Campground around 4 p.m. when a Mazda Miata crossed the center line and crashed into her, authorities said. Police Probing 'Unattended Death' At Sterling Police Station
The Worcester County District Attorney's Office is investigating an "unattended death" at the Sterling Police Station last week. "Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and Sterling Police continue to investigate the June 23 unattended death at the Sterling Police Department," a spokesperson for the district attorney said.
