33-Year-Old Killed After Vehicle Crashes Down In Embankment In Region Police are continuing to investigate a fatal crash in Western Massachusetts that left a 33-year-old man dead. The man was found around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28 by a bicyclist passing by the scene of the crash in Hampshire County down a steep embankment in Williamsburg, said Laurie Loisel, director of Communications for the Northwest District Attorney's Office.  According to Loisel, the vehicle could not be seen by passing motorists, and it is unknown exactly when the crash occurred. Woman Charged After Bicyclist Killed In Crash In Region A Western Massachusetts woman who struck and killed a bicyclist will face charges of negligent motor vehicle homicide, authorities said. Hampshire County resident Haley Kelly-Sherette, age 23, of Williamsburg, will be arraigned Friday, Nov. 5 in connection with the death of 69-year-old Charles Braun.  The investigation revealed Kelly-Sherette failed to stop for a stop sign as she used Facetime while driving, said Laurie Loisel, director of communications for the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office. In the Central and Western areas of Massachusetts as well as the Berkshires, the place that received the most snow appears to be North Granby with 2.2 inches and Noth Adams with 2.4 inches. Covid-19, Where Are The Hot Spots? Town-by-town Infection Rates And Trends - Hampshire County Positive tests for COVID-19 continue to stay under 2 percent in Massachusetts. Massachusetts' seven-day positive test rate for COVID-19 has been below 2 percent since the beginning of July. On Friday, July 17, Gov. Charlie Baker said the positive rate for the past seven days is 1.7 percent. Meanwhile, in Hampshire County, Chesterfield is the only community with a 14-day positive test rate of over 2 percent - the town's rate is 6.7 percent.
