Plane Crash Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Critically Injured One person is dead and another is fighting for their life after the plane they were in crashed on a suburban street Thursday morning, June 19, authorities said.  The single-engine plane crash happened around 8:45 a.m. at Sam Fonzo Drive in Beverly, near the Beverly Regional Airport. Images from the crash site show the plane came to rest against a utility pole. Wanted Man Crashes Into Pole, Knocks Out Power In Western Mass, Sparks Car Fire: Police A routine traffic stop was anything but routine after the driver tried to escape, crashing into a utility pole, and starting a car fire in Berkshire County, authorities said.  Anthony Winters, age 27, of Pittsfield, was charged with several motor vehicle offenses and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, Pittsfield police said.  It all began around 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, when police went to pull over Winters' car in the area of West and Edwin Streets. One Hospitalized In Western Mass Crash One person was injured during a single-vehicle crash in Western Massachusetts. The crash took place Wednesday, July 28, afternoon in the area of Main and Mill streets, said the Springfield Fire Department. The injured person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after crashing into a utility pole. The vehicle suffered heavy front-end damage. The crash is under investigation.
