A 19-year-old accused of a 2022 fatal crash in Worcester County has been returned to the United States from the United Kingdom to stand trial, authorities said.
Gabriel Dias De Holanda, 19, is facing charges of manslaughter, motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation, motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, the Worcester County District Attorney said.

A grand jury indicted a couple in connection with a fatal 2022 hit-and-run that killed a woman as she was on her way home from work, officials said.
Jerry Santiago Jr., age 25, was charged with motor vehicle homicide, motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation, leaving the scene of a personal injury crash resulting in death, driving as to endanger, and driving a motor vehicle without a license, the Worcester District Attorney Office announced on Tuesday, Feb. 14.

Man Dies After Being Hit By Car While Changing Tire In Region
A Western Massachusetts man was killed and a child was injured while changing a tire on the side of an area roadway.
The incident took place around 6:45 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 29, on Route 2 in Worcester County in Leominster, said the Massachusetts State Police.
According to state police, Franklin County resident Daniel Levangie, 44, of Wendell, was changing the tire on his 1997 Ford F350 in the breakdown lane on Route 2.
