Itty-Bitty Pistol Snatched During Search At Boston Logan Airport Size doesn't matter to the TSA.  A passenger was nabbed on Saturday, March 23, trying to bring a .25 caliber pistol shorter than a ballpoint pen through security.  Regardless of its size, it's still illegal to bring a gun in a carry-on bag or on your person.  There are legal ways to travel with a pistol, however.
