Gotti Grandson Learns Fate In COVID Fraud Scheme
The 39-year-old Long Island grandson of mafioso John Gotti has been sentenced to prison for fraudulently obtaining more than $1.1 million in COVID-19 disaster relief loans and using the money for personal investments, including cryptocurrency, federal officials said.
Carmine G. Agnello, 39, of Smithtown, was sentenced Tuesday, April 21, to 15 months in prison in federal court in Central Islip, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.
