One Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Region A driver in Western Massachusetts has died of his injuries after a two-car crash. The crash took place around 4:20 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, on Verge Street in Springfield. According to Springfield Police Spokesman Ryan Walsh, officers were called to the scene of a two-car crash on the 100 block of Verge Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a severely injured man who died before he could be taken to a hospital. Body Recovered From River In Region A man's body has been recovered from a river in Western Massachusetts.  According to Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police Department, the body was found around 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19, when officers were called to the 500 block of Hancock Street for a report of a body in the Mill River. Members of the Springfield Fire department recovered the body.
