Suspect Caught After Fleeing Scene Of Stolen Car Crash In Western Mass, Police Say
A suspect was arrested in Western Massachusetts following a pursuit in a stolen vehicle. Shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, police in Hampshire County received an alert that Holyoke Police in Hampden County and Massachusetts State Police were involved in a pursuit with a stolen vehicle driven by a suspect accused of breaking and entering, according to the Hadley Police Department. Hadley PD officers attempted to deploy tire deflation devices and saw the suspect vehicle leave I-91 North at a high rate of speed and travel over the Coolidge Bridge into Hadley, police said. …

Man Nabbed For Assault With Dangerous Weapon During Fight At Western Mass Store
A 29-year-old man was arrested after allegedly threatening a man with a knife during an altercation at a Western Massachusetts convenience store, police said. Officers in Hampshire County from the Hadley Police Department were dispatched to Cumberland Farms on Russell Street at approximately 10 a.m. on Monday, July 26, where there was a report of an incident between two men that quickly escalated. AAA Forecasts Fall Gas Prices - Where To Get The Lowest-Price Gas Now
With fewer people traveling due to COVID-19 restrictions, the price of gas has dropped to under $2 per gallon at gas stations across Central and Western Massachusetts. On average, national gas prices are 50 cents less than they were at this time last year, according to AAA. And the national auto club expects this downward trend to continue through the fall.
