The suspect in both the mass shooting at Brown University and the killing of an MIT professor has been found dead by suicide, officials announced Thursday night, Dec. 18.
He was identified in an affidavit (attached at the bottom of this news article), and signed Thursday in Rhode Island as Claudio Manuel Neves Valente, 48, a former Brown University student and a national of Portugal, whose last known address was in Miami, Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez said at a press conference. Four Age 21 Or Younger Killed, Another Seriously Injured In Connecticut Crash
Four people, all age 21 or younger, were killed and another person is in critical condition following a single-car crash in Connecticut.
It took place around 5 p.m., Monday, May 30, in Windham County in the town of Thompson near the Quaddick Reservoir.
The horrific crash, the second in Connecticut over the holiday weekend to kill four, took place at Quaddick Town Farm Road near Taylor Road when the driver of a 2017 Honda Civic attempted to pass another vehicle and lost control, said the Connecticut State Police.
