Typo Sends Man To Jail During Martha's Vineyard Vacation On Brookline Charge
A Philadelphia man hoping to enjoy a week on Martha's Vineyard wound up in jail because of a nearly 10-year-old typo, CBS Boston reports. Angus McCoubrey, 37, and his wife were involved in a minor fender bender at the start of their weeklong stay on the island last month and thought little of it when they called police to report the incident, the outlet said. But a few minutes after the couple made the call, McCoubrey said he noticed an Edgartown patrol car racing to catch up with them. Massachusetts State Police said a 16-year-old girl who vanished from her home in Alford, Mass., last month could be in the Philadelphia area. Nevaeh Mack disappeared from Berkshire County on July 29, and no one has seen her since. State police said there is reason to believe she left the state for Pennsylvania, though they did not say if there were any sightings of her there. Armed & Dangerous Pennsylvania Murder Suspect Arrested In Massachusetts
A man wanted for a Pennsylvania murder could was arrested in Massachusetts, authorities said. Wagner Ernesto Tejeda-Pena was wanted for fatally shooting Loi Nguyen, age 77, while he was on a walk in Philadelphia on the morning of June 21, CBS Philadelphia reports. Tejeda-Pena also tried shooting two other victims fifteen minutes before shooting Nguyen but his gun malfunctioned, Boston Police said. Details have been released in the Memorial Day Weekend double murder in Pennsylvania involving a woman from Massachusetts. Mamadou Kallie, 23, took his 22-month-old child out of the Toyota Corolla after killing the boy's mother and a woman who was five months pregnant Sunday, May 29, Coatesville, Chester County DA Deb Ryan said. Bill Cosby has been released from a Philadelphia prison after the Pennsylvania state supreme court overturned his conviction on Wednesday, June 30. The 83-year-old has already served two years in prison rather than admitting guilt. The state supreme court found that an agreement with a former prosecutor prevented Cosby from being charged in the case, according to CNBC. Cosby was denied bail in May, as Daily Voice previously reported.
