Ultra Rare Orange Lobster Rescued From Stop & Shop
This lucky crustacean is officially 86’d from the menu. An ultra rare orange lobster was saved from becoming someone’s dinner after being rescued from a New York Stop & Shop. “Clementine” – as she’s now affectionately known – arrived on Long Island at a Stop & Shop store in Southampton with a shipment of traditional brown lobsters sometime before Thursday, July 4. PETA Supporters In Monkey Masks Protest Against Harvard's Strobe Light Experiments
PETA supporters planned to take to Harvard’s campus, while “experimenters” dressed in lab coats shine strobe lights on them in a protest against the university’s tests on baby monkeys, the organization said. The protest was set to happen at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Johnston Gate, at the intersection of Peabody Street and Massachusetts Avenue, at Harvard’s campus in Cambridge. “Livingstone’s pointless experiments have never produced anything other than pain and anguish for the monkeys stolen from their mothers and subjected to her twisted tests,” PETA Senior Vice President Kathy Guille…

Agnès Lacreuse, a professor at UMass-Amherst who studies menopause using marmosets, is accused by the nonprofit organization of violating the Animal Welfare Act after one monkey in her lab escaped confinement and injured another caged monkey. The monkey's escape on May 14 is the fourth one in recent years, among several other …

PETA Honors Massachusetts State Police K9 Killed In Fitchburg Standoff
Animal rights group PETA said it would honor Frankie, the Massachusetts State Police dog killed in the line of duty last month. Frankie was fatally shot during a stand-off with a 38-year-old wanted man in Fitchburg on July 26. Matthew Mack barricaded himself inside his apartment and refused to come outside despite pleas from his family and police negotiators. When talks broke down, officials sent Frankie and his handler, Trooper David Stucenski, in to try and arrest Mack. But he saw them as they approached the back door and fired several shots. Police rushed him to an emergency veterinaria…
