Duo Accused Of Stealing 1,000 Gallons Of Cooking Oil In Connecticut
Two New York men are facing charges after authorities said they stole more than 1,000 gallons of cooking oil in Connecticut and then led police on a pursuit. The owner of Pizza Palace Restaurant in Middlesex County called police at about 9:40 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, to report that he had interrupted the theft of cooking oil at his restaurant, according to the Old Saybrook Police Department. Man Driving Wrong Way On I-95 Was Under Influence, CT State Police Say
A 25-year-old man was charged after authorities said he drove the wrong way on I-95 in Connecticut while under the influence. Troopers received multiple reports of a red Chevrolet SUV driving erratically on I-95 northbound near Exit 57 at about 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12, Connecticut State Police reported. Callers said the SUV was driving in the median and nearly struck the center concrete barrier several times, police said. Communities are teaming with Eversource to help reduce potential tree damage during big storms in the future.
