Snow Joke: Get Set For 'One Of The Longest, Coldest Winters' In Years, New Forecast Says
A brand-new forecast for the winter of 2021-22 is calling for a “season of shivers,” with “positively bone-chilling, below-average temperatures."
It's in the 230th edition of the Old Farmer's Almanac, which says it has an 80-percent accuracy rate with its weather forecasts.
“This coming winter could well be one of the longest and coldest that we’ve seen in years,” Janice Stillman, editor of the Old Farmer’s Almanac, said.

Forecast: Cool, Dry Weather With Patches Of Brisk Cold
The weekend weather carrying over into Monday will be dry, clear, and cold, according to meteorologists with the National Weather Service.
Friday, Jan. 8, will feel a lot like Thursday, but with slightly less wind and cooler temperatures. The high temperature may reach 40 degrees with a low of 21 predicted for the evening. Winds are expected to be moderate, blowing 5-8 mph during the day and calming a bit in the evening to 6 mph.

Tropical Storm Expected To Become Hurricane Could Bring Downpours To Region
Tropical Storm Zeta, expected to strengthen to hurricane status within hours, may bring significant rainfall to the region later this week.
Zeta is located was located over the northwestern Caribbean Sea about 130 miles southeast of Cozumel, Mexico, at midday on Monday, Oct. 26.
Zeta is moving toward the northwest near 10 miles per hour, the National Hurricane Center said.
